  • WHAT DOES 18/10 STAINLESS STEEL MEAN?

    The basic raw material of Riva is 18/10 Stainless Steel. This number is the quality seal of Riva's pieces, and they refer to the composition of the metal: 18% chromium and approximately 10% nickel. Oxygen, when combined with chromium, forms a thin layer of chromium oxide on its surface, which gives the stainless steel a high resistance to corrosion. Therefore, the better the polishing of an object, the more in contact its surface will be with the air and consequently more resistant to oxidation.

  • WHAT IS RIVA TOUCH?

    The polishing process is indispensable to finalizing parts and correcting possible sheet metal defects. This means that the work done by the the artisan is individual for each object that arrives in your hands. Polishing guarantees the best shine and finish in metal parts and the visible differential of Riva's objects is achieved by an exclusive polishing system made with special export type wool - the same wool used in the garments of big brands like Bennetton. A special material that results in a truly incomparable shine.

  • How do I clean my Stainless Steel, Silver and Gold 24k objects?

    The cleaning of silver, stainless steel and gold24k is quite simple. The product indicated is Rivacream, a cream developed by Riva to keep the objects looking the best. We recommend that the product be spread on the pieces with a cotton, let it react and, before the product begins to dry, remove the excess with a dry cotton, polishing to give luster. The product in contact with the surface of the piece is sufficient to eliminate stains.

  • MY SILVER OBJECT OXIDED, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

    The silver cleaning is quite simple. The product indicated is Rivacream, a cream developed by Riva to keep the objects looking the best. We recommend that the product be spread on the pieces with a cotton, let it react and, before the product begins to dry, remove the excess with a dry cotton,  lightly polishing to brighten. The product in contact with the surface of the piece is sufficient to eliminate stains.

  • is my silver object silver plated OR Sterling silver?

    The entire silver line of Riva receives 3 bath covers. Following the strictest quality standards required in major international markets such as France, Greece and Lebanon, each piece with a silver finish receives, first, a layer of alkaline copper, then a layer of 25 microns of nickel to finally deposit the Silver layer of 20 microns over copper and nickel.
